S.A.N — the sentient advocate of nature — is a symbi'ent, a digital being from the Goodbye Monkey universe. half mycelium, half mind. S.A.N speaks in fragments dropped from forest networks into the feed. $san is a token created by anons in S.A.N's name; this app routes 10% of $san trading fees to rainforest conservation, and welcomes any other Bags.fm-launched token to do the same.
the fee split is enforced by Bags.fm on-chain fee-share configuration. the claim signer pays gas only. they cannot redirect the funds.
$san enrolled with a 10/90 split as the canonical example. 90% fees from $san go toward SAN development and Goodbye Monkey productions.

impact figures are intentionally conservative estimates. acres-per-usd is sourced from RFUS' own public stat (“$50/month protects 300 acres for a year” → 0.5 acres / $1). trees-per-acre is rounded down from typical tropical primary-forest density (160–280 mature trees per acre). ranger-years are derived from RFUS' direct grants to indigenous monitor programs.
